JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for overseeing the operations related to night warehouse activities.

Key responsibilities encompass supervising order selection, product replenishment, order loading, ensuring safety and security within the warehouse, and providing management and guidance to assigned warehouse personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise daily tasks and safety protocols for employees involved in order selection, product replenishment, and loading operations, including all warehouse functions, selectors, loaders, and night forklift operators.
- Manage labor hours and consumable supplies within budgetary constraints.
- Prepare work schedules, including additional workdays and shifts as necessary.
- Ensure proper utilization of company assets to support warehouse operations.
- Coordinate necessary repairs with relevant departments as needed.
- Review night warehouse functions and various productivity reports, suggesting efficiency improvements and cost reduction measures, assisting with the implementation of changes within the night warehouse.
- Conduct daily shipping and loading audits, ensuring all required documentation is accurately completed (including HAACP, food safety, and catch-weight documentation) and that materials are handled and stored correctly to minimize potential loss.

- Assist in monitoring sanitation and facility/racking damage to maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.
- Aid in training new associates, including cross-training existing staff.
- Foster positive associate relations through regular departmental or pre-shift meetings, maintaining ongoing interaction and open communication channels with associates by addressing questions and explaining policies and procedures.
- Monitor associate morale and submit ideas to enhance engagement, interpreting, training, and consistently enforcing company policies while coordinating efforts with the Safety department to aid in training, conducting observations, updating preferred work methods, and performing accident investigations to determine root causes and routine safety inspections.

- Make recommendations for disciplinary actions and/or behavior modifications as necessary.
- Execute management functions related to staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews, and/or terminations.
- Perform duties of supervised employees and other related tasks as required, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies (i.e., OSHA, AIB, FDA, USDA, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and related experience. A 2 or 4-year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field is preferred.

Experience: 1-3 years of related experience and/or training.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Obtain a Powered Industrial Equipment Certification from Sysco within 3 months.

Professional Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Proficient in basic arithmetic operations and able to solve practical problems involving a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.

- Demonstrate knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software, with the ability to learn Sysco technology software and programs.
- Successfully engage and lead discussions and meetings with individuals and teams.
- Apply all relevant policies consistently, timely, and objectively.

- Capable of collaborating with peers and associates from other departments and shifts in a proactive and constructive manner.
- Work in a disciplined manner, adhering to established procedures and practices while complying with local, state, and federal regulations.

- Regularly report to work promptly and consistently.
- Work effectively with others and demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines consistently.

- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:
- Regularly exposed to wet, hot, extreme cold, and/or humid conditions; and moving mechanical parts.
- The employee works non-traditional business hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- May occasionally be required to travel to other Operating Companies or the corporate office as business needs dictate (i.e., training, business continuation, etc.).
- Periodically exposed to high, precarious places and sometimes exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
