This role is based in Jamestown, ND and involves a full-time commitment, including weekdays and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
The Home Services Supervisor is responsible for providing guidance, training, and mentorship to the Direct Support Professionals (DSP) within the Home Life Services team during their shifts. This includes the direct implementation and oversight of services and care provided to children and young adults residing on the ACC campus.
The supervisor will engage in direct oversight, coaching, and mentoring, addressing both client and staff needs effectively. In collaboration with the Operations Manager, this position will also handle performance evaluations for DSP staff, as well as recruitment, training, and retention efforts.
This role involves active participation on the floor, demonstrating ideal behavior, and addressing employee concerns as they arise. The supervisor will lead designated shifts and serve as a positive role model for the team.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time supervisory role requiring availability for every fifth holiday and every fourth weekend, with hours from 7 AM to 7:30 PM. The supervisor will work alongside other residential supervisors to manage staffing assignments, monitor employee training, and provide in-the-moment coaching.
Qualifications:
A minimum of two years of experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational, supervisory, leadership, and communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to adapt to rapid changes and respond promptly in crisis situations is essential.
Preferred Skills:
An Associate Degree and some supervisory experience are preferred.
