This position presents an exciting opportunity to significantly influence the future workforce of Devon Energy by attracting and nurturing early career talent. The role encompasses managing and executing the complete recruitment lifecycle for early career positions, which includes summer internship initiatives, university event planning and participation, collaborations with student organizations, and the development of new graduate programs. The position is based in Oklahoma City with the possibility of remote work on select days. The candidate must be willing to travel to universities and Devon offices as required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is mandatory.
  • 2-3+ years of pertinent experience, ideally in Human Resources with a focus on Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Employer Branding, or a similar domain.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Applicant Tracking Systems, and knowledge of General Labor and Employment Laws.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Campus Recruitment: Collaborate with leadership, Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs), and college teams to analyze recruitment market trends and continuously enhance the campus recruitment strategy. Work alongside campus recruiting teams to implement diversity-focused initiatives aimed at identifying and attracting underrepresented talent in alignment with hiring priorities. Regularly assess partner universities to ensure they meet the company's talent requirements and recruitment objectives. Coordinate logistics with campus recruiting teams to organize and attend campus events and panel interviews with potential candidates. Manage the campus recruiting budget for key institutions and monitor all expenditures. Evaluate the return on investment for each campus event and collect feedback from participants.
  • Internship Program: Oversee the planning, execution, and assessment of the company's internship program. Manage the recruitment, onboarding, team assignments, mentorship, and final evaluations of interns, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and values. Collaborate with HRBPs, Compensation, and Devon leadership to prepare, negotiate, and extend offer packages to candidates. Assign mentors to interns and provide training on effective mentorship practices. Offer continuous support to interns, addressing any concerns or issues that arise during their tenure. Develop and administer surveys to gather feedback from interns, mentors, and stakeholders.
  • New Graduate / Early Career Development: Facilitate the hiring and onboarding process for new graduates, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization. Design and implement onboarding programs tailored to new graduates, focusing on their integration, training, and development. Collaborate with HRBPs and department leaders to ensure new graduates receive the necessary resources and support. Monitor the progress of new graduates and provide ongoing assistance to ensure their success within the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze feedback and data to identify trends and areas for enhancement in the internship program. Implement modifications and improvements based on feedback and best practices. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in internship program management.
