About the Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the future workforce of Devon Energy by attracting and nurturing early career talent. The individual will oversee and implement the complete recruitment cycle for early career positions, which encompasses summer internship initiatives, university engagement activities, partnerships with student organizations, and the establishment of new graduate programs. The role allows for some remote work flexibility while requiring travel to various universities and company offices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2-3+ years of relevant experience, ideally in Human Resources with a focus on Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, or Employer Branding.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Applicant Tracking Systems, and knowledge of General Labor and Employment Laws.
Key Responsibilities
  • Campus Recruitment:
    • Collaborate with leadership and HR Business Partners to analyze recruitment market trends and enhance campus recruitment strategies.
    • Work with campus recruiting teams to implement diversity initiatives aimed at attracting underrepresented talent.
    • Evaluate partner universities to ensure alignment with organizational talent needs.
    • Coordinate logistics for campus events and interviews with prospective candidates.
    • Manage the campus recruiting budget and track all related expenses.
    • Assess the return on investment for campus events and gather participant feedback.
  • Internship Program Management:
    • Plan, execute, and assess the company's internship program.
    • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of interns, ensuring alignment with company goals.
    • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and leadership to prepare and extend offer packages.
    • Provide training for mentors and ongoing support for interns throughout their experience.
    • Gather feedback from interns and stakeholders through surveys.
  • New Graduate Development:
    • Facilitate the hiring and onboarding process for new graduates.
    • Develop tailored onboarding programs focusing on integration and professional development.
    • Coordinate with HR Business Partners to ensure new graduates receive necessary resources.
    • Monitor the progress of new graduates and provide continuous support.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Analyze feedback to identify trends and areas for enhancement in the internship program.
