We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Tenure-Track Professor in Physical Geography to join our dynamic team at the University of Ottawa. As a leading institution in Canada, we are committed to excellence in research, teaching, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a robust, externally-funded research program in Physical Geography
  • Recruit and supervise graduate students in Physical Geography
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Physical Geography, contributing to existing programs in the department
  • Contribute to administrative and academic activities for the department and faculty
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Physical Geography or a related field by July 1, 2024
  • Demonstrated track record of excellence in Physical Geography, with a strong research program and publications in refereed journals
  • Ability to attract external funding and develop a research program with strong connections to industry, government, and/or relevant end-users, stakeholders, and rights holders
  • Teaching experience or training at the university level, with a commitment to teaching and graduate training in our department's programs
  • Active bilingualism in French and English at the time of hiring, with the ability to teach in French
