Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize a Mathematics curriculum to instruct on topics that may encompass Algebra, Geometry, or Calculus, while preparing students for Advanced Placement (AP) and college-level studies.
  • Assist students in developing problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Inspire confidence and engagement in mathematics through your passion for the subject.
  • Encourage students to formulate and defend logical arguments using reasoning, mathematical terminology, tools, and principles.
  • Foster a community of self-directed learners where students feel secure, confident, and involved.
  • Collaborate with the Mathematics department to establish academic and engagement objectives for students.

Required Experience:
  • A demonstrated interest in making a positive impact on K-12 students in urban educational settings (1-2 years of experience preferred).
  • Academic proficiency in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Prior to employment, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Certification is not a prerequisite for hiring, but candidates must meet state certification eligibility criteria, which includes enrolling in a teacher preparation program and maintaining a GPA of 2.5 or higher during employment if they do not hold a degree in education.
Additional Information

Compensation for this position: The starting salary for this role is between $50,000 and $64,700. The initial pay will be influenced by various factors, including professional experience, education, training, and certifications. We value staff tenure in each role and do not impose salary caps.
