Goodspeed Merrill (GM) is on the lookout for a skilled Real Estate Legal Counsel to enhance its expanding real estate division.
The ideal candidate will hold a valid license to practice law in Colorado and possess approximately 4-8 years of pertinent real estate expertise, demonstrating a strong commitment to client service. The successful applicant will have substantial experience in commercial property transactions, including title and survey evaluations, negotiations, and commercial leasing agreements. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in drafting covenants, commercial development, land use, and those who bring a portable book of business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver projects in a timely and professional manner.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
Essential Qualifications:
- 4-8 years of relevant real estate legal experience.
- Ability to plan and achieve goals creatively while managing various tasks under the general supervision of senior attorneys.
- Experience in land use, multi/planned use development, and entitlement processes.
- Exceptional drafting and analytical skills, with the capacity to evaluate potential solutions and implement chosen strategies.
- Preferred candidates will have experience with Special Improvement Districts (SID) and alternative financing.
- Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Colorado.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
- An attorney who is knowledgeable, attentive, and dedicated to professionalism.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $125,000-$160,000, commensurate with experience.
GM offers a dynamic bonus structure for Associate-level attorneys, allowing time for business development without jeopardizing bonus eligibility after reaching 1,800 billable hours.
