As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will foster a culture of empowerment and continuous learning, guiding teams to enhance performance through effective coaching, communication, and development opportunities. We are looking for a strategic thinker who can identify needs, implement enhancements, and maintain engagement across various teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with relevant departments to develop weekly production schedules and generate maintenance shift schedules based on team discussions, line inspections, preventive maintenance (PM) requirements, work orders, and resource availability.
  • Oversee contractor work as necessary and assigned.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of completed repairs, rebuilds, and line inspections.
  • Evaluate, train, mentor, and motivate direct reports, providing opportunities for their professional growth and performance optimization.
  • Communicate performance standards and expectations to team members, recognizing and rewarding individual and team achievements while addressing performance issues.
  • Coordinate and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) effectively.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of equipment downtime and recommend improvements.
  • Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress against objectives.
  • Perform audits of PM and work orders.
  • Provide training to subordinates in the use of CMMS as needed.
  • Manage major maintenance and capital projects across shifts as they arise.
  • Ensure plant facilities and grounds are maintained in compliance with relevant regulations and company standards.
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures related to maintenance and safety protocols.
  • Stay updated on the latest manufacturing technologies and engineering concepts to continuously enhance plant performance.
  • Carry out additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with equipment setup, functions, operating procedures, and preventive maintenance techniques.
  • Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret instructions, maintenance manuals, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in a maintenance department, ideally within an automated food processing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions for machine rebuilds and repairs.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance software is advantageous.
