As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will cultivate a culture of empowerment and continuous learning, steering teams towards enhanced performance through effective coaching, communication, and developmental opportunities. We are in search of a strategic thinker capable of evaluating needs, implementing enhancements, and maintaining engagement across various groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with relevant departments to align with weekly production schedules. Develop Maintenance shift schedules based on team discussions, line inspections, preventive maintenance (PM) requirements, work orders, and resource availability.
- Oversee contractor operations as necessary and assigned.
- Keep meticulous records of completed repairs, rebuilds, and line inspections.
- Evaluate, train, mentor, and inspire direct reports, providing necessary training and development to enhance their performance and personal growth.
- Communicate performance standards and expectations to staff, acknowledging and rewarding individual and team achievements while addressing performance issues.
- Coordinate, monitor, and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Conduct root cause analysis of equipment downtime and propose improvements.
- Leverage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure progress against objectives.
- Perform audits on PM and work orders.
- Provide training to subordinates in CMMS as required.
- Manage major maintenance and capital projects as they arise across shifts.
- Ensure plant facilities and grounds are maintained in compliance with relevant regulations, company standards, and financial considerations.
- Assist in formulating policies and procedures related to maintenance and safety.
- Stay updated on the latest manufacturing technologies and engineering concepts to continually enhance plant performance.
- Execute other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is mandatory.
- Familiarity with equipment setup, functions, operating procedures, and preventive maintenance techniques.
- Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
- Ability to interpret instructions, maintenance manuals, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in a maintenance department, ideally within an automated food processing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions for machine rebuilds and repairs. Capable of completing forms detailing maintenance work performed.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance software is preferred.
