Job Overview

The Outlet Bartender plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to guests and supporting the restaurant team while adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation as set by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

Qualifications & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Physical Demands

This position may require flexible hours, including long shifts. The role involves medium work, which includes exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Candidates must be able to stand for the entire duration of their shift.

Core Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff and guests in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Listen attentively to guests and team members, addressing any concerns with understanding and clarity.
  • Manage multiple tasks and prioritize departmental functions to meet operational deadlines.
  • Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a courteous and attentive manner.
  • Participate in all required meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain consistent attendance in line with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts standards, adapting to the hotel's scheduling needs.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing nametags.
  • Adhere to all Wyndham Hotels & Resorts policies and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maximize productivity by identifying challenges and assisting in the implementation of solutions.
  • Handle issues proactively, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and resolving problems as they arise.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Demonstrate initiative by anticipating the needs of guests and operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain a warm and welcoming demeanor at all times.
  • Set up the bar in accordance with hotel standards and event orders to ensure prompt and efficient service.
  • Prepare beverages and cocktails following the hotel's mixing and presentation guidelines.
  • Serve guests with all beverage needs in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Break down the bar after events, ensuring proper storage of liquor, supplies, and equipment.
  • Comply with all state liquor laws and hotel policies.
  • Be knowledgeable about hotel services and facilities.
  • Follow procedures for serving alcohol responsibly to prevent issues with intoxicated guests.
  • Address guest complaints and incidents promptly and effectively.
  • Be familiar with fire exit and extinguisher locations and understand their operation.
  • Keep the bar and service areas clean and organized during service.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction through attentive service.
