Job Overview

POSITION: Sales Operations Support Specialist

STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the operational reporting of sales metrics related to customer orders and projected sales pipeline.
  • Facilitate the review of forecast pipeline and demand requirements in collaboration with the internal sales team.
  • Support the management of forecast pipeline, demand planning, and key performance indicator reporting within Salesforce CRM.
  • Ensure alignment of periodic customer order bookings with Salesforce CRM requirements for internal approvals and transaction finalization.
  • Oversee all processes associated with customer order bookings and approvals, including:
    • Gathering and reviewing all necessary documentation for pricing, scope, commercial terms, legal compliance, tax, delivery, export compliance, and ITAR.
    • Coordinating order acceptance and approval requirements with internal stakeholders and following up with customers as necessary.
    • Managing and storing all customer orders, approvals, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and audit history.
    • Inputting and maintaining SAP customer order and sales distribution transactions in accordance with tax, finance, and central planning requirements.
    • Maintaining customer master data in OneSource Tax System and SAP for accurate sales tax calculations and billing.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Training

  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
  • Completion of EHS assigned regulatory training as outlined by the EHS Training Matrix.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales forecast management and analysis.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing and analyzing internal sales and execution processes.
  • 2+ years of knowledge of sales operations processes related to order and revenue cycles.
  • 2+ years of experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems focused on sales order, demand, and execution modules.
  • 2+ years of experience with CRM systems, with Salesforce reporting and dashboard experience being a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end sales process, from proposal to order execution.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and investigate solutions prior to escalation.
  • Demonstrated skills in initiating process improvements related to job responsibilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage job functions effectively.
  • High level of accountability and ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (moderate to advanced Excel skills preferred).
