Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the configuration master equipment list (MEL) for various spaceflight systems.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering subject areas to establish user and customer MEL requirements.
  • Work closely with engineering functions to gather design baselines and verify that equipment and hardware meet functional requirements.
  • Control and track changes to equipment records throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop and iterate on process and tool improvements to implement organizational standards.
  • Apply data analytics and build automation for product releases and reporting capabilities.
  • Perform vehicle configuration engineering bill of material and computer-aided design model reviews.
  • Support Mass Properties teammates in analysis and verification activities.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related technical subject area.
  • 1+ years of related professional experience.
  • Engineering knowledge and experience in aerospace fields or related subject matter.
  • Experience and knowledge of Systems Engineering practices, functional schematics, and piping & instrumentation diagrams.
  • Strong ability and desire to configuration control technical engineering data.
  • Extensive computing skills in Microsoft Excel, Git, MATLAB, and Tableau.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
  • M.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related technical subject area.
  • Experience in human-rated spacecraft programs.
  • Experience within spacecraft Mass Properties or Configuration Control teams.
  • Deep technical knowledge in multiple aerospace subject matter such as avionics, electrical, fluids, propulsion, and/or thermal.
  • Experience supporting integration and test campaigns for validation and verification of systems and/or completed vehicles.
  • Experience in engineering change control, product lifecycle management, and configuration applications (Cameo, Jama, Jira, Windchill).
