About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Chelmsford, MA. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of quality in our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and develop quality standards, methods, and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products.
  • Analyze and resolve process issues, from basic to complex, to ensure quality products are delivered to our customers.
  • Participate in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards to identify and address non-conforming hardware and root causes.
  • Perform assessments and audits to ensure compliance with specifications, engineering drawings, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related issues.
  • Utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.
  • Make final decisions on product acceptability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field with 2 years of professional experience, or a STEM-related Master's degree with no experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
Desired Skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, FMEAs, and Root Cause and Corrective Action processes.
  • Experience in Six-Sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods.
  • Discrete and/or Micro-electronics experience.
  • J-STD-001/IPC-A-610 familiarization.
  • ASQ CQE.
