Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist is essential in supervising production processes, ensuring that quality benchmarks are consistently achieved. This position requires close collaboration with our NADCAP Certified Finishing Facility and involves managing various projects from inception to launch. The primary objective is to uphold quality standards that meet customer demands and comply with regulatory requirements. As a Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist, you will also play a key role in addressing customer and supplier concerns while spearheading process enhancements.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Conduct thorough audits on processes and products
  • Perform initial inspection tasks
  • Engage in incoming inspection activities and coordinate with suppliers regarding SCARS and related issues
  • Work alongside engineers to ensure quality assurance for new products and develop quality protocols
  • Revise PFMEAs and Control Plans as necessary
  • Assist in resolving quality challenges raised by clients
  • Investigate nonconformance reports and implement corrective/preventive measures
  • Lead internal audits and guide process owners towards improvements
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, quality, or cost-effectiveness
  • Analyze internal and external quality data and prepare reports
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to strengthen quality systems and operations

Required Skills:
Familiarity with AS9100 and NADCAP is a plus

  • Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication abilities
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and possesses solid computer skills
  • Ability to interpret prints and specifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality or Manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience using various measurement gauges and tools

Physical Demands:

  • Occasional lifting or moving of equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, ascend, and descend stairs as required
  • Capable of performing sedentary tasks
