Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Client Director to join our Workplace team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating with other sector teammates to identify, qualify, and pursue project opportunities. Once awarded, you will lead the design team and serve as the primary client contact, working closely with our talented design professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop meaningful professional relationships to develop new business and secure new clients
  • Attend industry events, business development events, interviews, and client meetings
  • Collaborate with our North Central Region Workplace Leader to establish and achieve annual business and design goals
  • Provide thought leadership internally within the firm as well as externally with clients and the Workplace industry
  • Communicate a design solution in a confident yet thoughtful manner
  • Ensure all DLR Group design processes and standards are followed during the duration of the project
  • Collaborate with other Project Managers to develop and adhere to the work plan and project schedule
  • Ensure timely processing of invoices and engage clients for prompt payment
  • Participate in performance and career reviews for Workplace-specific staff
  • Mentor team members and participate in hiring, training, and onboarding of new staff
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent
  • At least 8 years of professional experience, inclusive of 5+ years in Project Management and leading Workplace projects specializing in core and shell, tenant improvement, and Workplace interiors
  • Keen understanding of Workplace industry standards and practices
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple offices
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills with design teams, clients, and projects
  • Ability to travel as the team and projects require
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for visa or residency
