We are seeking a skilled and responsible School Bus Activity Driver to join our team at Norfolk Public Schools. As a vital member of our transportation department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students.

Job Summary: This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious individual to work as a School Bus Activity Driver with Norfolk Public Schools. The selected candidate will be responsible for transporting students safely and efficiently to and from school and other designated locations.

About the Role: As a School Bus Activity Driver, you will be required to obey all traffic laws, observe mandatory safety regulations for school vehicles, and follow district procedures. You will also need to interact positively with students, maintain a safe environment, and report discipline issues to the proper authorities. Additionally, you will be responsible for checking the vehicle before each operation, notifying supervisors of any defects, following a scheduled route, and releasing students only at authorized stops.

Requirements: To be considered for this position, applicants must have a good driving record, be able to pass a DOT physical, and possess a current CDL license with the necessary endorsements or be willing to enroll in required training. Qualified applicants should also have excellent communication skills and be able to problem-solve effectively in various situations.
