Inside Parts Sales Representative

Ziegler Cat is seeking a full-time Inside Parts Sales Representative to assist our clientele. We are in search of a committed individual with a robust work ethic and exceptional organizational, customer service, and communication abilities to support our expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service in person or via phone to clients.
  • Assist customers in identifying the correct parts needed, confirm availability, and provide recommendations.
  • Identify the appropriate parts and their availability, and process parts orders.
  • Determine the supplying facility and transportation method for parts delivery.
  • Input accurate shipping details into the parts ordering system to facilitate order processing and invoice generation.
  • Manage backorders, returns, and exchanges.
  • Collaborate with team members on group sales, ensuring effective communication across departments during the sales process.
  • Engage with customers for sales, follow-ups, and resolution of potential issues.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
  • Prepare estimates for service work, engines, machines, and parts.
  • Assist customers with basic inquiries or concerns by taking appropriate actions, offering alternatives, or escalating issues to more experienced colleagues.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient workplace, adhering to the specific environmental standards of the department.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; a 2-year degree is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in diesel engine, construction or agricultural equipment, or automotive parts or service.
  • Positive demeanor and a willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills (navigation, searching) and familiarity with Microsoft Outlook.
  • Basic telephone skills.
  • Fundamental customer service abilities.
  • Personal attributes: Customer Focus, Teamwork, Learning Orientation, Efficiency, Sociability.
Minimum Physical Requirements:

• Standing, sitting, walking, use of hands, talking, hearing.
