Job Overview

The role of the Account Manager encompasses visiting client sites to devise solutions, offer guidance, and facilitate the sale of a comprehensive range of Mac Papers products. The Account Manager is tasked with nurturing current business relationships while actively seeking new sales opportunities through various channels such as prospecting, business directories, and client referrals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and strategically expand the existing client portfolio within the designated Mac branch.
  • Identify and cultivate new customer relationships to drive business growth for all Mac Papers products.
  • Formulate and implement a territory business strategy, with quarterly reviews alongside branch leadership.
  • Assess customer requirements and effectively propose value-added solutions to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Collaborate with suppliers of equipment and consumables to target, evaluate, present, and finalize business opportunities.
  • Engage in branch meetings and participate in off-site product and sales training sessions.
  • Establish and nurture business relationships with clients from ownership/management to operational staff.
  • Deliver prompt communication and exceptional customer service both internally and externally.
  • Work collaboratively with customer service and operations teams.
  • Execute administrative tasks, including budgeting and reporting.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Coordinate with local credit managers and general managers to facilitate the opening of new accounts.
  • Stay updated on market trends, product advancements, and competitive dynamics.
  • Analyze reports, including special order requests, customer bid files, and sales/gross profit margin data.
  • Collaborate effectively with location management, the sales team, and the Vice President of Sales.
  • Develop and actively manage the CRM pipeline, including regular reviews with line of business leadership.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A 4-year Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with relevant experience.
  • Proven success in achieving defined sales targets.
  • Sales experience is essential.
  • B2B consultative sales experience with a successful track record in sales and territory expansion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, time management capabilities, and a self-motivated attitude.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Competitive, self-assured, and growth-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in utilizing CRM systems for daily operations, planning, and pipeline management.
  • Ability to effectively use order entry systems and manage email communications.
  • A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record are required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in B2B sales is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using a Windows-based computer.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English for effective job performance.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
