Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Semiconductor Foundry Engineer I to join our Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department (AMSD) at Raytheon in Andover, MA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working in a cleanroom environment, handling GaAs and GaN wafers, and assisting with various lithography, deposition, and etch processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a cleanroom environment to fabricate semiconductor devices
  • Handle GaAs and GaN wafers with precision and care
  • Assist with lithography, deposition, and etch processes to develop compound semiconductor devices
  • Perform and document optical microscope inspections to ensure quality control
  • Conduct scanning electron microscope imaging to analyze device performance
  • Perform failure analysis and data analysis to identify areas for improvement
What You Will Learn
  • Wafer fabrication techniques, including lithography, deposition, and etch processes
  • Optical and scanning electron microscope imaging techniques
  • Data analysis and troubleshooting techniques to optimize device performance
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field
  • 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry
  • Strong academic background and good written and oral communication skills
