Job Summary

Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Semiconductor Foundry Engineer I to join our Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department (AMSD) in Andover, MA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working in a cleanroom environment, handling GaAs and GaN wafers, and assisting with various lithography, deposition, and etch processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a cleanroom environment to fabricate compound semiconductor devices
  • Handle GaAs and GaN wafers with precision and care
  • Assist with lithography, deposition, and etch processes to ensure high-quality device production
  • Perform and document optical microscope inspections to ensure device integrity
  • Perform scanning electron microscope imaging to analyze device structure and defects
  • Conduct failure analysis and data analysis to identify areas for improvement

What You Will Learn
  • Wafer fabrication techniques, including lithography, deposition, and etch processes
  • Optical and scanning electron microscope imaging techniques
  • Data analysis and trouble-shooting techniques to optimize device production

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field
  • 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong academic background
