The Industrial, Automotive + Advanced Manufacturing (IAAM) division is a vital segment of our science and technology practice, concentrating on distinctive project categories such as research and design facilities, validation testing environments, and sustainable energy production and manufacturing hubs.

Our projects encompass a broad spectrum of technical design components, including testing laboratories, cleanroom facilities, manufacturing areas, industrial office spaces, and other high-performance settings. These specialized projects facilitate direct collaboration with clients, contractors, and consultants, as well as with various internal and external disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate project teams and consultants from the initial stages through to project completion.


Support the Project Manager in overseeing and guiding the project team and consultants, mentoring junior staff, and representing the firm in client interactions.


Ensure timely project delivery within budget constraints while making critical decisions and recommendations that significantly influence project outcomes.

Manage project and spatial planning, conceptual design, and the execution of project documentation.

Engage with clients and facilitate weekly presentations and/or meetings. Actively participate in internal project team discussions and attend technical and consultant meetings.

Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and address challenges encountered during the construction phase.

Qualifications:

Experience:


A minimum of five years of architectural experience is required, including at least one year in a leadership role such as Job Captain or Project Architect overseeing multi-disciplinary teams.

Experience managing multiple projects concurrently with various clients is preferred.


Prior experience in integrating engineering systems into architectural designs and/or working on commercial, industrial, research and development, or applied manufacturing projects is advantageous.

A comprehensive understanding of construction standards, documentation, and detailing practices is essential. Familiarity with relevant codes (municipal, state, UBC, and ADA) and awareness of code modifications is required.

Exceptional presentation, written, verbal, and graphic communication skills are crucial.

Willingness to travel one or two times per month, with each trip lasting two days.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Revit is required.

Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.

Experience with Rhino, SketchUp, 3D rendering software, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Education:
A degree in architecture or a related field is mandatory.

Professional registration and sustainability certification are preferred.
