This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Engineering Project Leader to become a vital part of their team.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in the Oil & Gas Industry or other highly regulated fields such as Energy, Chemicals, or Waste Management.

In this role, you will spearhead and execute projects within a stringent regulatory framework, ensuring compliance with industry standards and governmental regulations.

Travel across the UK will be necessary, and you will oversee capital expenditure (Capex) projects with budgets exceeding £10 million.


Position:

Senior Engineering Project Leader Salary:
up to £65,000 per annum + car allowance + bonus + benefits Location: Scotland (Aberdeen to Inverness and the islands)

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage intricate engineering projects within the Oil & Gas Sector, from initial concept through to commissioning, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to allocated resources.

- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

- Oversee and manage project execution, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.

- Coordinate activities with internal teams, subcontractors, and external partners, promoting effective collaboration to meet project goals.

- Take charge of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance, implementing and managing Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) protocols.

- Monitor project costs, continuously reviewing budgets and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, ensuring their expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

- Utilize strong communication and leadership skills to guide project teams, motivating members to achieve project milestones.

- Adhere to the principles of Construction Design and Management (CDM) to ensure safe execution of construction projects.


Qualifications:

- Hold a relevant engineering qualification and possess project management expertise.

- Experience with project management methodologies such as Prince2 and familiarity with software like Microsoft Project is essential.

- Significant experience in managing multiple projects, focusing on stakeholder engagement, budget control, and delivering specified outcomes.

- Background in managing engineering projects within the transport fuel, oil distribution, or other high-hazard sectors is advantageous.

- Familiarity with HSE management systems, permit-to-work processes, and contractor management is beneficial.

- Knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations is a plus.
