Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY:
As a pivotal member of the finance team, the Credit Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the Accounts Receivable department. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance & Business Support, you will be instrumental in fostering strong relationships with clients and collaborating with various departments to ensure financial efficiency.

In this capacity, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and mentoring the Accounts Receivable team
  • Conducting regular credit meetings to discuss financial matters
  • Maintaining and nurturing client relationships to enhance service delivery
  • Overseeing group billing processes and ensuring compliance with deposit policies
  • Managing accounts receivable aging and collections effectively
  • Coordinating with the front office to maintain accurate guest ledgers
  • Setting performance expectations for team members and monitoring their progress
  • Facilitating billing reviews and collaborating with finance staff
  • Ensuring proper handling of chargebacks and queries
  • Monitoring monthly accounts and managing office supplies
  • Providing administrative support as needed
  • Adhering to departmental policies and safety regulations
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Physical demands of the role may include sitting for extended periods, occasional kneeling, lifting, and navigating various physical environments.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience is essential
  • Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) is preferred
  • Experience in office administration or accounting is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications is beneficial
  • A degree in a relevant field is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Dependable with a strong sense of accountability
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented with a focus on client satisfaction
  • Capable of maintaining composure under pressure
