Salary:

Travel Requirements:
75% weekly travel. Depart on Monday and return on Thursday or Friday. Company credit card provided for travel and related expenses.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform customer support tasks related to the installation, modification, and repair of sophisticated nuclear measurement instruments and systems.
- Conduct on-site installations of advanced nuclear measurement equipment, emphasizing the setup and configuration of (Canberra) hardware and software, adhering to established testing protocols to ensure optimal system functionality. Provide customer training on system hardware/software and its fundamental operational modes.
- Diagnose and rectify equipment malfunctions, collaborating with Technical Support and Engineering to identify and resolve system faults.
- Complete Field Reports and logs to document work performed and ensure all field issues are reported and addressed. Engage in troubleshooting and repair tasks.
- Offer technical support via phone and email.
- Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions, fostering a positive customer experience.
Candidate Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position is a US Navy nuclear-trained technician. Nuke ELTs are encouraged to apply.
- 1-3 years of experience in a technical/customer service role, demonstrating strong technical skills and customer relations expertise to manage diverse systems and applications.
- Nuclear experience is essential. Experience in the Naval Nuclear Power Program is advantageous.
- Familiarity with (Canberra) products such as High Purity Germanium (HPGe) Detectors, Sodium Iodide (NaI) detectors, and Alpha Beta Counting Systems.
- Proficient in (Canberra) software including Genie 2000, Apex Gamma, Apex In-Vivo, Eclipse, and Apex Alpha Beta.
- Experience in database management using SQL Server, Crystal Reports, and/or Access.
- Knowledge of Nuclear Physics and Radiation Principles is required.
- Understanding of Gamma Spectroscopy, Alpha/Beta Counting, and radiation detection principles is a plus.
