Respiratory Care Quality Coordinator

Job Summary:
Norton Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Quality Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Respiratory Therapy department, you will be responsible for researching, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating respiratory care services for quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and assess respiratory care services to identify areas for quality improvement
- Develop and implement quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes
- Collaborate with the Respiratory Therapy Matrix to implement processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Work closely with educational coordinators to implement quality processes based on research-based practices
- Develop and maintain knowledge of scientific research and evidence-based practices in respiratory care
- Identify and recommend resources, supplies, and care models to support quality initiatives
- Maintain current knowledge of hospital and department communication tools
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities
Qualifications:
- 3 years of respiratory care experience, including 1 year in critical care
- Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, cardiopulmonary science, or respiratory therapy
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (National) and Respiratory Therapist (State) certifications
- ACCS or NPS certification within one year of hire
- Adult Critical Care Specialty or Neonatal Pediatric Specialist certification (desired)
