Quality Coordinator-Respiratory Care, Days

The Quality Coordinator Respiratory Care will research, assess, plan, implement and evaluate respiratory care services for quality initiatives and will work closely with the Respiratory Therapy Matrix to implement processes. Works very closely with educational coordinators to implement quality processes that have been determined by research based practices. The incumbent will have demonstrated knowledge, skills and behaviors for Neonate/infant, adolescent, adult and geriatric customers as appropriate based upon scientific research for criteria and /or age specific considerations. Serves as a role model for all quality initiatives and identifies the needed resources, supplies and care model needed. Maintains current knowledge via hospital and department communication tools. Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
Qualifications
Required:
- 3 years of respiratory care, including 1 year in critical care
- Bachelor Degree in a chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, cardiopulmonary science or respiratory therapy
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (National) AND Respiratory Therapist (State) AND One of: ACCS or NPS within one year of hire.
- Adult Critical Care Specialty OR Neonatal Pediatric Specialist
