Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Norton Healthcare. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our respiratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality patient care as ordered by physicians, including the initiation of respiratory protocols and evaluation of protocol steps.
  • Assess, develop, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring the appropriateness of respiratory care modalities.
  • Participate in monitoring quality of care and identify areas for improvement.
  • Organize workflow to maintain smooth transitions between shifts and assist in day-to-day operations of respiratory care services.
  • Maintain accurate and neat documentation, enter charges for patient billing, and monitor and order supplies and medications.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Care or related field.
  • CRT or RRT certification, with RRT obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Respiratory Therapist (KY) licensure.
  • One year of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a critical care setting.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (National) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (National) certification.
