Amentum is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist III to provide support for critical projects related to soldier survivability. This role involves being part of a collaborative team dedicated to enhancing protection and operational capabilities for military personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge in key tasks and lead significant assignments to:
  • Address vulnerabilities and threats to Information Technology (IT) Systems, National Security Systems (NSS), and Automated Information Systems (AIS).
  • Implement the Department of Defense (DOD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) and assist the System Security Manager (ISSM) in ensuring the successful application of security controls and review of RMF documentation.
  • Support Program Management Offices with Cybersecurity-related acquisition documentation requirements, including Cybersecurity Strategies and compliance with statutory, regulatory, and policy standards.
  • Facilitate the integration of Cybersecurity, COMSEC, and TEMPEST throughout the system life-cycle, from design to deployment.
  • Maintain compliance with DOD Inspector General (IG) Cybersecurity Self-Assessment checklist and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requirements.
  • Conduct audits to ensure adherence to regulatory standards, participate in inspections and surveys of computer systems, and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Provide expert advice on complex computer security systems, recommend approvals for various operations based on security protocols, and offer alternatives to meet organizational security needs.
  • Assist in developing and delivering formal training programs on computer and information security requirements and the operation of automated information systems.
  • Analyze existing computer security programs for vulnerabilities and translate training needs into effective educational media.
  • Manage incident coordination and communication with local Network Enterprise Centers (NEC) and Computer Emergency Response Teams.
  • Generate analytical reports and process information according to program procedures.
  • Provide technical input and documentation to enhance understanding of computer security incidents, including internal advisories and technical reports.
  • Assist with policy, programmatic, budgetary, and doctrine issues related to Cybersecurity within the organization and with other U.S. Government agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field, along with ten (10) years of relevant experience.
  • Recognized as a subject matter expert in Cybersecurity, capable of leading efforts with minimal oversight.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
  • Security + Certification.

Required Clearance:

  • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret. Note that U.S. Citizenship is necessary to obtain a Secret Government Clearance.
