Amentum is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist III to provide support for critical projects within the organization. This role presents an opportunity to engage with a dedicated team focused on enhancing protection measures and delivering advanced equipment capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize extensive knowledge to manage significant assignments and contribute to high-impact projects.
  • Address vulnerabilities and threats related to Information Technology (IT) Systems and National Security Systems (NSS).
  • Implement the Department of Defense (DOD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) and assist in ensuring the successful application of security controls.
  • Support Program Management Offices with documentation requirements related to Cybersecurity.
  • Facilitate the integration of Cybersecurity, COMSEC, and TEMPEST throughout the system life-cycle.
  • Maintain compliance with DOD Inspector General Cybersecurity Self-Assessment checklists and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) standards.
  • Conduct audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and participate in inspections of computer systems.
  • Provide expert advice on complex computer security systems and recommend operational approvals based on security guidelines.
  • Develop and deliver training programs focused on computer and information security requirements.
  • Analyze existing security programs to identify training needs and develop appropriate educational materials.
  • Manage incident coordination with local Network Enterprise Centers and Computer Emergency Response Teams.
  • Generate analytical reports and process information in line with program procedures.
  • Draft technical documents to enhance understanding of computer security incidents.
  • Assist with policy and budgetary issues related to Cybersecurity within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field, along with ten (10) years of relevant experience.
  • Proven expertise in Cybersecurity with the ability to lead initiatives with minimal oversight.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
  • Security + Certification.

Required Clearance:

  • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret. U.S. Citizenship is necessary to obtain a Secret Government Clearance.
