About the RoleThe Security Systems Account Executive is responsible for driving sales of integrated security solutions to commercial, industrial, higher education, and municipal clients. This role involves identifying potential customers, understanding their security needs, and delivering tailored solutions that align with their goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Sales and Business Development: Responsible for selling integrated security and related low-voltage technology solutions to building owners, general contractors, electrical contractors, engineers, architects, and consultants.
- Customer Relationship Management: Builds and manages long-term customer relationships with key building owners, general contractors, and architectural and engineering firms.
- Prospecting and Qualifying: Prospects, qualifies, and closes new opportunities.
- Technical Knowledge: Demonstrates technical knowledge to create solutions that address the customer's project challenges and favorably positions Climatec Security.
- Proposal Development and Presentation: Generates competitive, high-quality, and timely estimates, bids, proposals, and cost-benefit analyses. Skillfully writes, presents, and communicates bids and proposals. Negotiates and closes sales successfully.
- Sales Tools and Pipeline Management: Utilizes sales tools effectively. Manages the pipeline in Climatec tools, focusing on next steps, action items, and milestones in the sales process.
- Team Collaboration: Leads the sales pursuit team, builds team relationships to ensure project success and customer satisfaction. Collaborates with product partners, subcontractors, engineers, project managers, and support colleagues.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in the integrated security systems industry. Knowledge of the construction industry and understanding of the construction process and owner-direct negotiated process are essential.
- Skills: Strong initiative and interpersonal communication skills. Strong proposal development and writing skills. Proven experience managing the development of complex project solutions, estimates, and proposals.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with major access control, video, and security solutions, including Lenel, Software House, Avigilon, Genetec, Aiphone, AXIS, and Hanwah.
- Network Architecture: Understanding of enterprise network architecture and the ability to discuss and recommend networked security system solutions.
- Integrated Systems: Demonstrated ability to sell integrated systems. Understanding of software integration via manufacturer software applications, APIs, and custom software development.
- Physical Demands: Be able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, material, etc. Be able to lift up to 50lbs. Be able to spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites. Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site.
- Driving Record: Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec's vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive on company business.
- Physical Abilities: Be physically able to kneel, stoop, and crawl.
