About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Installation Specialist to join our team at CoolSys. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining commercial HVAC systems, ensuring timely and quality project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation of HVAC systems
  • Lay out roof penetrations and ducting, and sheet metal fittings as directed by the foreman
  • Provide support to the construction foreman as needed on the job
  • Coordinate and follow job schedules, including labor hours and material costs
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management
Requirements
  • HVAC Sheet Metal Installation Knowledge
  • Knowledge of sheet metal installation and piping of commercial HVAC units
  • Knowledge of plumbing and pipe fittings, and ability to perform sheet metal assembly
  • Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints on HVAC refrigeration, electrical and plumbing
  • Ability to hang evaporation coils and install overhead hangers
  • Ability to use hand and power tools and good mechanical skills
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • High school diploma and trade or technical school classes; 4+ years experience in the construction industry, and hands on field experience in commercial HVAC construction; and major market remodeling
  • Knowledge of commercial HVAC construction products and tools
  • Knowledge of refrigeration equipment
  • Knowledge of blueprints, detailing HVAC duct fittings
