Refrigeration Technician Job Description

At Crawford Thomas Recruiting, we're seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting commercial refrigeration equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair issues with commercial refrigeration systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Install and configure new refrigeration equipment
  • Work with various types of commercial refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers, reach-in freezers, display coolers, and ice machines

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years of experience in refrigeration equipment installation, maintenance, and repair
  • HVAC certification and CFC refrigeration certification required
  • Basic computer and internet skills, as well as smartphone capabilities
  • Ability to work nights and weekends on a rotating basis to service emergency needs
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in small crawl spaces
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
