Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Fire Protection Engineering Principal to join our team in Washington DC. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of technical excellence and market leadership, with a strong ability to develop client relationships and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive growth and revenue
  • Lead and mentor a team of fire protection engineers to deliver high-quality projects
  • Conduct leading-edge work and projects requiring creativity in finding and communicating solutions
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Participate in professional society activities and publish papers
  • Experience as an accomplished public speaker
Requirements
  • Master of Science, Master of Engineering, or Doctorate in Fire Protection Engineering or related field
  • 15+ years of professional experience in fire protection engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Excellent track record of recognized technical excellence and market leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong client relationships and a substantial revenue base
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a commitment to developing high-level talent
What We Offer

Simpson Gumpertz and Heger Inc offers a comprehensive and rich compensation and benefits package with company-paid and voluntary programs to help build healthy lifestyles, strong relationships, and future prosperity.

Anticipated annual base salary: $187,000 - $239,200. This range is a good-faith estimate provided pursuant to the District of Columbia Wage Transparency Law. The actual salary offered may vary from the range, as permitted by the District of Columbia Wage Transparency Law, and will be based on several factors including the candidate's experience and qualifications, education, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
