The Opportunity:

We are in search of a Fire Protection Engineer to offer regional technical expertise for a potential project in the Middle East. This role is contingent upon contract award. The Fire Protection Engineer will primarily work remotely, providing design oversight and review capabilities. The engineer must be prepared for deployment to mission requirements in the CENTCOM AOR as directed by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) based on customer and program needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop inspection criteria and fire protection designs; conduct technical reviews of fire protection designs created by architectural-engineering firms or government entities, addressing electrical design issues that may arise during construction and inspections.
  • Provide specialized knowledge on fire protection engineering aspects related to the installation, modification, operation, and maintenance of facilities, mission systems, support systems, and power generation/distribution systems.
  • Although design tasks are not included in this contract, the Fire Protection Engineer will act as a subject matter expert to review and inspect installations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes for ongoing or completed construction projects.
  • Occasionally prepare drawings, specifications, and procedures for the repair, installation, integration, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Review and evaluate design calculations as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Project-based employment occurring on US Military Bases within the CENTCOM AOR.
  • Must meet the qualifications for a Qualified Fire Protection Engineer (QFPE) as per UFC standards.
  • A minimum of two years of experience applying UFC standards and guidelines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in written and spoken Arabic.
