Key Responsibilities

The role involves overseeing and coordinating the development, implementation, and integration of systems and processes that promote organizational excellence. Key areas of oversight include education, infection control, patient safety, risk management, credentialing, regulatory compliance, data management, and electronic medical records.

Essential Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensuring accurate and timely data collection, analysis, and submission to regulatory and quality improvement agencies
  • Organizing the medical staff peer review process
  • Leading risk management initiatives through the coordination of risk programs
  • Supervising clinical staff including electronic health record personnel, case managers, social workers, nurse educators, credentialing specialists, and infection control nurses
  • Establishing departmental policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards to ensure patient safety and service quality
  • Upholding Patient Experience Standards across all staff interactions
  • Managing budgeting, daily operations, staffing, and productivity standards
  • Reporting quality metrics to relevant committees
  • Leading the Quality and Value Committee
  • Providing multidisciplinary services to diverse patient populations
  • Representing the organization in community events and initiatives
  • Regularly communicating with senior leadership regarding patient care issues
Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota

- Minimum of three years of experience in a hospital environment, with at least one year in quality improvement management

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s Degree

- Leadership experience
