Compensation:
$44.19/hour for Physical Therapists
$27.50/hour for Physical Therapy Assistants

Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing and treating patients with disabilities, injuries, and diseases using a variety of modalities and exercises. This role includes providing education and consulting services aimed at restoring function, enhancing mobility, alleviating pain, and preventing or minimizing permanent physical disabilities.

The Physical Therapist works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to serve diverse populations.

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) supports the Physical Therapist by implementing treatment plans for patients under their supervision. The PTA gathers data related to interventions, modifies treatment as necessary to ensure patient safety and comfort, and assists in the progression of patient care.

The PTA also serves a wide range of populations, including pediatric, medical, surgical, ambulatory, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a Master's or Doctoral degree, or an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current licensure in the State of Minnesota
  • BLS certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire)
  • Preferred: One (1) year of experience; three (3) years preferred
