Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Directly supervise all unit management and indirectly supervise non-exempt employees during restaurant operation.
    • Ensure execution of all employee duties to guarantee maximum guest satisfaction and a quality work environment.
  • Financial Management
    • Responsible for achieving planned sales and profit levels for the restaurant.
    • Manage inventory levels for food and non-food items in accordance with company guidelines.
    • Prepare and review financial reports, including payroll, cash and receipts, productivity, food costs, security of funds, and operating expenses.
  • Guest Experience
    • Deliver an exceptional guest experience by ensuring all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
    • Ensure compliance to productivity and service standards with a sufficient number of well-trained and productive employees.
  • Facility and Equipment Management
    • Ensure proper management of the facility and equipment through preventive maintenance, energy conservation, repairs, security measures, and adherence to safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Team Development
    • Plan and analyze unit's manpower, ensuring sufficient development and training of all employees, including management.
    • Set and share goals with team, monitor and track progress of goals.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma; some college or degree preferred.
  • Experience
    • 1-2 years General Manager experience preferred.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
    • Physical ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours, with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
Working Conditions

The Restaurant and Bakery General Manager will work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with frequent exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold. The position requires the ability to work irregular hours under heavy pressure/stress during busy times.
