About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geologist / Stratigrapher to join our team at Geosyntec Consultants. As a key member of our environmental consulting team, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients in the development and implementation of innovative solutions for contaminated site assessment and remediation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage and implement investigation and remediation projects, including planning, budgeting, and quality control.
  • Geologic Modeling: Develop geology-focused conceptual site models to support remedial design and assist in the interpretation and analysis of various geologic data.
  • Data Management: Assist in the management and analysis of geologic, hydrogeologic, and contaminant data, and prepare technical reports, letters, and memoranda.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor junior staff, and manage subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Client Communication: Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties to ensure effective communication and project progress.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, or a related field (required); advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in an environmental consulting environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
  • Skills: Proficiency in geologic modeling and geostatistical analysis techniques and software, proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access, and ability to write complex formulas and visualize data effectively (required).
