Job Overview

Visionary Communications LLC seeks a skilled professional to join our wireless team as a Field Technician - Tower Technician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the stability of wireless infrastructure to provide exceptional network services to our customers.
  • Conduct repairs and installations, inspecting the area's condition, and reporting structural inconsistencies and defects.
  • Utilize mechanical and electrical knowledge to resolve issues promptly and create resolution manuals to prevent reoccurrence.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain wireless equipment on towers.
  • Assemble electronic equipment in racks/cabinets, plumb RF, wiring, and complete telecom installations.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation.
  • Provide 24-hour on-call support to resolve tower-related or customer issues.
Requirements
  • Telecom experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to quickly learn proprietary computer applications.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and insurability to drive a company vehicle.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours and willingness to travel on a weekly basis.
Physical Requirements
  • Work at tower heights for duration of day.
  • Lift and carry up to and above 75 pounds.
  • Utilize fine motor coordination, clear speech, and good visual acuity.
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
