Inventory Control Specialist

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, the Inventory Control Specialist adheres to established protocols and directives to execute physical inventory assessments on a daily basis. This role assists in addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to inventory counts, escalating complex matters to senior management as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily scheduled inventory assessments in various warehouse locations
- Perform repetitive counts as required
- Meet daily quotas within specified deadlines
- Access warehouse shelving to physically account for individual items, ranging from small components to larger equipment
- Facilitate the breakdown and consolidation of materials being counted
- Contribute innovative ideas during regular meetings aimed at enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of counting procedures
- Document and report any safety concerns within the warehouse
- Provide support to other warehouse functions as needed
- Execute additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to perform precise counts and basic calculations without error
- Proficient in computer applications
- Previous experience with Highlift or Forklift preferred; must be able to complete forklift certification within one month of employment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Self-motivated with a proactive work ethic
- Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Adaptable mindset with the capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain on feet for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and frequently bending and standing
- Willingness to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse setting
