Department Overview

This role will provide essential administrative support to the Student Government Association (SGA), reporting directly to the Dean of Students.

Job Summary

Deliver specialized administrative services within a campus unit, including:

  1. Organizing and preparing correspondence, reports, and documentation.
  2. Managing events and records.
  3. Providing guidance to junior administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities

1. Generate and manage correspondence and documentation.
2. Compile and analyze data for reporting purposes.
3. Coordinate meetings and events, including logistics and scheduling.
4. Arrange travel for unit staff as needed.
5. Maintain inventory of office supplies.
6. Develop and manage databases and records systems.
7. Address routine administrative inquiries and provide input on procedures.
8. Train and guide administrative staff as required.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or vocational diploma.
Experience: Three to four years of relevant experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in higher education is strongly preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

Skills and Abilities

This position requires advanced office administration skills, including document processing, records management, event coordination, problem-solving, and proficiency in office software applications.
