As a seasoned professional in the retirement plan industry, you will be responsible for consulting with USI employee benefit and property & casualty clients to convert their current Defined Contribution (DC) plans to a USICG preferred service platform. Your primary focus will be on client satisfaction and retention, ensuring that their retirement plan needs are met with exceptional service and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead new business expansion initiatives, identifying profitable cross-sell opportunities and developing strategic partnerships with USI producers and clients.
• Administer multiple facets of the sales process, including phone calls, meeting coordination, presentation creation, and follow-up tasks to ensure seamless client engagement.
• Acquire provider proposals by gathering plan data and other required information, performing analytical reviews of current plan documents and proposals to ensure accurate pricing and product service capabilities.
• Collaborate with product providers and internal service teams to ensure accurate implementation of retirement plan business, conducting annual plan health reviews and coordinating employee education meetings as needed.
• Manage and retain assigned book of business, responding to client inquiries regarding plan questions and vendor services, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of retirement plan legislation, recordkeeper pricing/product, and technology changes.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in a retirement sales capacity, with a strong understanding of 401(k) DC plans and related regulations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with a strong focus on business and finance.
• SIE, Series 6, 63 & 65 or Series 7 & 66 and State life license required or willingness to obtain, with a strong emphasis on professional certifications and licenses.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong ability to work with clients, product providers, and internal teams to drive business growth and client satisfaction.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting client expectations.
