POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for the efficient service of food and beverages, encompassing the entire process from order taking to delivery.

This role requires a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare the service area before, during, and after shifts, ensuring cleanliness and proper setup.
  • Welcome guests warmly and inform them about any specials or promotions available.
  • Accurately record guest orders, confirming details to ensure precision, and actively promote additional items.
  • Utilize the Point of Sale system to relay orders to the kitchen efficiently.
  • Collect orders from the kitchen, ensuring they meet the required standards, and adhere to all regulations regarding alcohol service.
  • Clear tables of used items and refresh napkins as needed.
  • Monitor beverage levels and check in with guests to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Present dessert options and serve upon request.
  • Provide guests with their checks promptly and process payments, thanking them for their visit.
  • Assist in clearing and resetting tables for the next guests.
  • Support kitchen staff with food presentation and garnishing.
  • Complete assigned side tasks, including restocking condiments and maintaining service areas.
  • Perform general cleaning duties in compliance with health standards.
  • Prepare napkins at the start and end of shifts.
  • Ensure all areas are stocked with necessary supplies at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Help the host(ess) with greeting guests and managing coats.
  • Polish glassware and utensils as needed.
  • Restock wine supplies at the end of shifts.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Carry out other assigned duties as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards and guest relations.
  • Familiarity with appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading and writing.
  • Capacity to remember and promote various menu items.
  • Physical ability to carry trays weighing up to 30 lbs. through crowded areas throughout the shift.
  • Proficiency in using a keyboard and learning Point of Sale procedures.
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service is required; hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Adherence to uniform guidelines is essential.
  • Willingness to learn about wine varieties and appropriate serving techniques.
  • Commitment to maintaining service standards and etiquette.
