Job Title: Associate Director Finance

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director of Finance to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. This role will be responsible for providing strategic and financial management functions for University Administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage annual revenue and expenditure budgets, working closely with UA department leadership and Finance leads.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of divisional allocations as part of the five-year University Budget Plan.
  • Generate and present reports of various data to leadership to drive strategic decision-making and overall reporting.
  • Develop, analyze, and present complex financial data and extracts, defining relevant information for stakeholders.
  • Responsible for annual accounting maintenance, reconciliation, and year-end closing and reporting for all of UA.
  • Prepare or assist in preparing project proposals and proposals for new initiatives, analyzing implications and presenting to leadership as needed.
  • Analyze cost/benefit proposals and provide additional analysis, making recommendations and providing feedback to UA leadership.
  • Supervise a Sr. financial analyst and a Sr. accountant, providing leadership, training, and mentorship to other staff within the UA Business office and UA departments.
  • Communicate and hold meetings with UA departments and other UA leadership, overseeing the creation and maintenance of all UA financial and budgeting reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Research Administration, or a related field.
  • Eight years of progressive management experience in higher education finance or administrative roles.
  • CPA License preferred.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range: $99,800 - $175,000 Annually (Commensurate with experience).
  • Full-time exempt position with a hybrid schedule (Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm).
