POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Project Manager is an entry-level role in project management, designed for individuals eager to learn and gain expertise in essential project duties. This position plays a crucial role in offering administrative and construction support to our Project Management team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Organize and manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and meeting minutes.
  • Assist the Project Manager in overseeing project activities, including planning, coordination, and problem-solving, while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Maintain logs for change orders, submittals, and document control, preparing necessary documentation for construction meetings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate contract submittals.
  • Facilitate the creation and distribution of Subcontractor contracts.
  • Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals promptly.
  • Adhere to the project quality control plan.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure accurate documentation for Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Keep the Warranty Log updated.
  • Participate in company and project meetings, providing support as needed.
  • Work closely with field personnel to provide technical assistance.
  • Monitor the activities and progress of other contractors.
  • Create Job Information Sheets and establish Job Files.
  • Prepare price change orders and project reports.
  • Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned based on the needs of the business unit.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Understanding of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods.
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with managers, employees, vendors, and clients.
  • Excellent organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven skills in organization and time management.
  • Ability to identify and meet customer expectations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel); familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Adaptability to work under pressure and changing requirements.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and a collaborative team player.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a construction-related position, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Up to 25% travel may be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The role involves a general work environment with extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, typing, and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Work is primarily conducted indoors under standard office conditions.

The salary range for this position is $57,300.00 to $86,000.00 annually, reflecting our commitment to competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience.
