POSITION SUMMARY:The Assistant Project Manager serves as an entry-level role within project management, tasked with acquiring skills and knowledge essential for the position. This role involves offering administrative and construction assistance to our Project Management team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Organize and manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and meeting minutes.
- Support project activities as directed by the Project Manager, including planning, coordination, and problem-solving while ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.
- Maintain logs for change orders, submittals, and project documentation for construction meetings.
- Ensure timely and accurate contract submittals.
- Prepare and issue contracts for subcontractors.
- Compile and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals in a timely manner.
- Adhere to the project quality control plan.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to gather necessary documentation for Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
- Keep the Warranty Log updated.
- Participate in company and project meetings with clients and subcontractors, providing project management support.
- Assist field personnel assigned to your area of responsibility.
- Monitor the activities and progress of other contractors.
- Create Job Information Sheets and establish Job Files.
- Prepare price change orders and project documentation.
- Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate payroll processing.

- Understanding of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel); Oracle experience is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and a proactive team player.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in a construction-related position, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Up to 25% travel may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:The role involves general office conditions, including extended periods of sitting, standing, and typing. The work is primarily indoors with standard office lighting and air conditioning.
Noise levels are typically low to moderate, with occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
