About the Role

Capital One is seeking a seasoned communications professional to join our Corporate Reputation team. As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic counsel to executives, develop and execute crisis communications plans, and build and lead issues and crisis communication programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute communications strategies to mitigate potential reputation risk
  • Partner with business leaders to build and lead issues and crisis communication programs
  • Provide real-time counsel to executives on crisis communications and reputation management
  • Develop and execute communications plans to build reputation and engage with top-tier media
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in developing and implementing issues and crisis communications strategies
  • At least 3 years of experience in partnering with and consulting business leaders on strategic communications
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing external communications strategies
  • At least 3 years of experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing and implementing issues and crisis communications strategies
  • At least 4 years of experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries
  • At least 4 years of experience consulting C-suite executives
