Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative, human resource, financial, and clinical oversight of nursing practice in the Cardiovascular Lab.
  • Assist the Director in developing standards of care, patient, family, and staff education to address the needs of this specialized patient population.
  • Collaborate with the medical director and director to develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines for the Cardiovascular Lab.
  • Supervise and direct shift operations, ensuring that all patients receive high-quality care in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and implement plans for provision of care, including patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
  • Provide education and training to staff members on cardiovascular lab procedures and protocols.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other staff members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required, or Associate's Degree in Nursing with a Bachelor's Degree in a non-nursing field and a Master's degree in Nursing required.
  • Minimum of three years of nursing experience in critical care or cardiovascular lab required.
  • Minimum of one year of prior management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership, supervision, management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to apply theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expand knowledge base and clinical skills with a focus in critical care and cardiovascular lab procedures.
  • Exhibit professional behavior at all times.
