Mortgage Loan Processor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team at Locke Your Loan. As a Mortgage Loan Processor, you will play a critical role in navigating the mortgage lending process and ensuring a smooth experience for our applicants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pipeline Management: Update and track information with current and up-to-date information, including all items ordered, received, and incomplete.
  • Loan Documentation: Input detailed loan process documentation in our system, from origination to close.
  • Loan Package Preparation: Prepare and submit detailed loan packages to the lender underwriting department for approval or denial.
  • Loan Option Determination: Determine the best loan option for the borrower through interviewing and discussion.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed documentation of the process in our system and adhere to all lending and regulatory guidelines and policies.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 5 years of loan processing experience required.
  • Knowledge: Experience in mortgage lending and knowledge of loan types, such as FHA, FHLB, FNMA, or VA loans required.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and time management skills, and superior attention to detail.
  • Education: Accounting, finance, or business Associate's degree preferred, High school diploma or GED required.
