Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team in Tacoma, WA.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless communication between clients and our healthcare services, alleviating barriers to service, and helping patients establish Sea Mar as their medical home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary liaison between clients and clinic, focusing on alleviating barriers to service and helping patients establish Sea Mar as their medical home.
  • Assist with public health coverage program applications, ensure patients have selected a primary care provider, and assist in scheduling appointments and identifying other health care services available.
  • Conduct outreach and participate in corporate marketing campaigns, and distribute informational/promotional materials approved by the Managed Care Department.
  • Maintain activity records, submit progress reports as directed by the Managed Care Department, and identify and advocate on behalf of customers regarding barriers to coverage and/or utilization of health care services.
  • Strive to increase customer healthcare service utilization through education on services covered and customer responsibilities, and serve as case managers for families in accessing care.

Requirements:

  • High School graduation; AA or BA in Social Services is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience is required; preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly preferred.
